Our Story
About None of the Bad
We're pre-launch: the scanner and storefront run end to end as a working demo, and the products in the Shop are sample listings.
Our Mission
None of the Bad was built on a simple belief — shopping well shouldn't be complicated, expensive, or require a chemistry degree. The modern marketplace buries the ingredients and materials people are trying to avoid under confusing names. We're building a vetted marketplace — everything a superstore sells, each product scored 0–100 against the published rulebook for its category, and rated so you see exactly why. We do the reading once, category by category, so shoppers don't have to. Food and beverage is published in full; the other categories are open in the engine and marked as drafts until they are reviewed, with a draft Baby-Safe badge across all of them — all built by partnering with the brands themselves.
How We Review Products
01
Vendor Submits
Vendors submit their full ingredient list, certifications, and product specifications before any listing is created.
02
Ingredient Audit
Every ingredient is checked against the category's banned and flagged lists. Any banned ingredient = automatic rejection; flagged items cost points.
03
NOTB Score Assigned
Approved products receive a NOTB Score (0–100) based on ingredient quality, transparency, and certification level.
The Team
Merone Miltz
Founder & CEO — Boynton Beach, FL
Merone has spent four months building None of the Bad's scoring engine, label scanner and storefront — part time, with AI tooling, entirely self-funded. It runs end to end as a demo today, and the standard is still being written.
Living abroad, he noticed the same product categories carried entirely different ingredients than at home — and that most shoppers have no easy way to see the difference. None of the Bad is his answer: publish the rules, score every product against them, and show the working.
Before None of the Bad he was Deputy Director & Chief of Staff at Blue World Sciences (2021–2026), an early-stage materials company developing a new cement formula, working alongside his mentor, CEO Daniel Robert Panitz. In 2020 he founded You Wreck We Tech, an IT company serving more than 50 clients. He holds a BA in Economics from Queens College (CUNY).
He isn't a scientist by training and doesn't claim to be; he is recruiting food-industry, regulatory and category-science reviewers to check the rulebooks.
"Families shouldn't have to be their own chemists. None of the Bad does the reading for them."
Our Commitments
Product-level review, not brand trust
We review every product individually. A brand with 10 products might only have 3 approved — we don't give blanket passes.
No pay-to-play
Listing on None of the Bad is earned, not purchased. No upfront fees and no premium placement.
Transparent standards
Our banned and flagged lists are public, and every score shows its working line by line. You can see exactly what we don't list and why — no hidden criteria.
Updated as the evidence changes
We follow new research and regulatory positions. When the evidence on an ingredient or material changes, we update the published standard, give it a new version number, and give listed brands notice before it applies.
